Steve Petch the area 3 rep, organised a day out to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.

After meeting at a nearby car park, the cars went in convoy to the base and were given permission to drive through the base to the BBMF.  The cars were arranged and parked in front of the Lancaster bomber with 2 Spitfires on either side.  The building in the distance is Tattershall Castle.  Photos were taken by the RAF and members.
There was a buffet lunch followed by a guided tour of the facilities and all the aircraft.  For me this was a really good event which I thoroughly enjoyed and would like to thank Steve for arranging.

(This photo was taken on a cheapo phone so apologies for the quality)
