Here's a quick one for you DB7 owners,I have just received a donation of a mid 90's unopened un thumbed original edition of the DB7 hard back Range Brochure thats still in its original outer wrapping.

Now as this is a charity event I thought I'd invite offers for it,I really don't know if these are rare but this perfect copy has got to be of interest to the discerning 7 owner and would enhance any owners book case as it is truly immaculate.

If you would like to make a bid for it please pm me and I'll log the bids and announce the lucky winner at Burghley in the Summer.

All monies raised from this event will go to our chosen charities.

Many thanks.

Hi all,

Had a site meeting at Burghley today and have been offered an unexpected upgrade on where we are going to be allowed to park,by kind permission we can now put on a display of up to about 40 cars in the North Court Yard which is right in front of one of the main doors with the remainder of our display being presented on the main side lawn offering panoramic views of the House and grounds.

This positioning will certainly enhance any pictures and has excellent access along proper tarmac roadways avoiding any need to touch the gravel of other entries points.

The upgrade was unexpected as was the ribbing I took about car numbers which was followed up this afternoon with some photo's of when the Ferrari Club came calling a few years back, they amassed 150 plus cars of which 142 are visible on an ariel shot taken from one of the towers...

Well lets not be out done by the Prancing Horse Brigade please... ...although there's still plenty of time in hand please get behind the event to swell the numbers at least to save my honour in the face of this challenge

Can we out number these Ferrari chaps I hope so and I'll attempt to post up the pictures of their event later, technology permitting to urge you on to sign up and to see the lovely court yard on offer.

Click on attachment below to see the competition.

That's throwing down the gauntlet Ed  and I'm sure between AMOC and PHeads we can beat the Prancing Donkeys.
Incidentally will you am to do some kind of selection of models on the circle or first come first served?
Keep up the good work.

Hi Rich,

Now the suns started to shine I'm hoping we can attract plenty more even though its still a long way off,we've got to rally to beat the Dancing Donkey Brigade as I can't take the ribbing over at Burghley.

The inner circle is a current thinking point as no doubt you've spotted on the other channel,we shall have to see but I have a few idea's in the pipe line, things are progressing nicely but obviously we need
a lot more classic Aston's in the line up if possible... ...over to you on that one I fear as your the man on the older stuff.

I'll pm you with whats going on when I get a minute to keep you up to pace.

Here you go all you book worms and avid collectors out there,

I now have in my possession the 2 piece ONE 77 owners or prospective buyers brochure which is a quite magnificent collectors piece with all the details and exceptional photographic make up of this rare and beautiful exotic motor car.

As with all the donations it will go to auction or raffle on the day of the event but if we have any serious collectors out there that would like to add this rare and unique leather bound set to their collection please pm me to lodge your interest.

As ever all the proceeds will be going to Cancer Research UK and the MacMillan Organisation,so if you would like this superb publication do give me a shout as these things are extremely rare so it's a chance not to be missed.

I still have plenty of room for as many of you as I can encourage to come along on the day, just let me know of your interest and I'll register your intended participation...
...go on you just might be pleasantly surprised by the days events and I've got 1300 acres at my disposal...

And in July it'll be what colour?

I will be there, possibly with two cars, if I am in the country.

Just to keep you updated with what I'm up to for your entertainment on the day I can now confirm that the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight of a Spitfire and Hurricane will be joining us for a Fly Past to mark
our day at Burghley.

So if you like planes that's even more of a reason to sign up to attend,we're up to circa 150 cars now and as I'm forever the optimist I'm looking to push on for at least 200 now .

Remember to let me know please if you intend to come via email please, edwind.cunningham@btinternet.com

One final thing I can announce the Orangery Restaurant at Burghley serves some excellent food so if you don't want to bring a picnic its worth making your reservation in advance.

Any questions I'm your man……... ;D

I see you have managed to get the attendees list past the 150 mark now Ed - well done! The Spitfire and Hurricane fly past sounds great - in more ways than one...

For those of you considering this it promising to be a great day out socialising with other Aston owners and with all proceeds going to charity what's not to like?

There's already a good range of cars registered including some Felthams, DB4s, DB5s and DB6s plus some Lagondas and if you were wondering what the lawns at Burghley look like here's a display of Ferraris but I am sure we can put on a better display than that. banana!

Thanks for the support Rich as ever it's really appreciated.

Well things are progressing nicely and without letting to many cats out of bags I'm quietly pleased with whats going down in the park for July.

There will be plenty to see by way of the cars and the supporting cast of Companies that are coming along to enhance the day,the numbers are rising steadily with over 160 now registered but theres plenty of room for more.

It would be nice to top the 200 cars at least as there's still plenty of time to encourage others to join in,so if you are in the company of other owners that are not yet down to attend please pressgang them immediately into joining up as they won't be disappointed I promise……..

Any Raffle or Auction prizes are most welcome as unfortunately it's like getting blood out of a stone with the Dealer network on the whole sadly, but I shall perceiver in my quest.

If any one can help on that score please let me know as I will be glade to provide a forwarding address or arrange collection prior to the event.

Prizes aside the main priority is to get as many of you along as possible to enjoy a day out surrounded by these lovely vehicles, so if you haven't yet registered or are sitting on the fence please give me a shout by email edwind.cunningham@btinternet.com to get involved as you just might like it.

Many thanks as ever,

Ed.

Any questions I'm your man…………..honest….. ;D

Hi all,

Thanks as ever for the continued support but I must report that I've been challenged with a healthy charity wager that I can't encourage over 200 cars to attend, now as I don't know the word beaten I've taken on the bet for the good of the charities... ...so all I need to do now is convince all you undecided fine folk to join in with the rest of us at Burghley where you'll have a cracking day I promise.

To encourage a few more of the flock along I'll just let a little bit more out of the bag as I'm pleased to announce that Andrew Soar of AS Motorsport fame with be joining us to display his lovely DBR recreation and will be on hand to discuss its history, concept and development.

Another little gem for those that enjoy motor sport and track days on a wider plain is that Radical Motorsport will be attending with their range of Road and Track day weaponry which will offer something a little different to investigate on the day.

Well as you can see I'm trying very hard to put on a splendid day out for you all so in return please encourage as many others along as you can or I'm going to be further out of pocket on this little adventure...

As ever if you want to help me out of this hole and get registered please email me on edwind.cunningham@btinternet.com

Cheers,

Ed

Rich,

I would love to mention a One 77 but my search is like an empty fruit bowl……….I've had my spy network on the job and all sorts but to no avail.

I thought that we must have 1 or 2 in this country and I seem to remember witnessing a very young gentleman "early/mid 20's" being preened by his Ulrichship on the open
evening that celebrated the finished refurbishment of Works Service a year and a bit back, apparently he was the owner of the One 77 on display... ???

Now if we have an owner or two looking in on this forum or indeed if someone knows of someone and can offer a lead then I'm all ears if you please.

I'm on the case Rich, have spoken to WS but I'll have to wait and see if they can raise any interest as apparently the owners are somewhat illusive... :-[

It's all gone a bit quite again on the registering to attend front and I know there's hundreds of you out there that haven't got into gear yet so please give it some positive thought and drop me an email as I need as many of you as possible to turn out in force for a great day in the country and in doing so help raise a few bob for our charities.

I'd also like to invite a heritage type specialist company along to display and offer advice on their services, so if anyones looking in please get in touch with me for further details.

I've been requested to get Kylie Minogue in to call the raffle so if anybody knows of her or her agent please give me a shout as I've got a very enthusiastic fan or two of hers attending on the day and I don't like to disappoint anyone... ...lol.

We're nearing the 170 plus car mark now so please assist me in pushing on for over 200 to make the day even more memorable, all you area Representatives why not arrange your area to come for a group day out as it will be great to have a wide geographic spread on parade on the day.

All food for thought,so be warned its going to be fun so don't miss out... ...;D ,lets be hearing from you please…

We're now up in the 170's of cars already registered to attend but we really need to push on and get over the 200,recently the TVR club went to Burghley and amassed 640 odd cars according to many reports…………

Doubt we will see that amount of Aston's turn out but the 200 is realistic if a few more can get enthused……..please.

My quest for a One 77 is looking grim,AM say they haven't got one anymore…….. and the cars I've been chasing up are either out of the country or aren't allowed out to play….. ,we could do with a few more of you classic
owners to turn out to be honest as I'd very much like to see an even balance of the new and old era's please.

If you happen to find a One 77 at the back of your garage by chance please consider letting me know .

Alls going well with the planning and I'll post up a more comprehensive outline of the day in a week or 3 to try and inspire a few more to consider joining in.

Any Raffle prize donations are always welcome so if you'd like to make a prize donation please let me know on the usual email, edwind.cunningham@btinternet.com as it will be most gratefully received.

Many thanks and I'll spill some more beans with my next update.

Panic over……………………. ;D contact has been established and the world is all to rights again.

Whilst on may I take to opportunity to rally the troops as I'm still needing more cars to attend in my attempt to get well over the 200 car mark, after reading and witnessing the pictures of the recent Vanquish Day at NP I'd like nothing better than getting some of you guys revved up to attend and in doing so putting on a fine display for everyone to enjoy………. .

Come on the Suns out so your attention should be firmly turning to car events for the current season and I can assure you this ones not to be missed……….honest.

Lets us now if you fancy it.
