Hi all,

I'm sure by now many of you will know that we are running our friendly Burghley House Aston Martin Event again in partnership with the AMOC on Sunday the 3rd of July at Burghley House at Stamford (PE9 3JY).

The cost to attend and display your Aston Martin is £10.00 per car which is payable on they gate,in return for your entry fee you will receive a 2 for the price of 1 concessions voucher for entry to the House for use if you choose to include the tour during your visit.

Entry will be from 9.30 am via the Barnack Road Gatehouse as before with the park remaining open for your enjoyment until dusk, our event how ever will close circa 5pm.

All as before but on a much greater scale which includes full Factory Support as offered by Andy Palmer himself,Andy too has readily signed up to attend what will be a very interesting and enjoyable day.

I won't give to many secrets away at this stage but I can tell you that there will also be many trade related stands and other attractions on display for your enjoyment as 20 or so companies have stepped forward to make up what is looking like a very colourful field that covers the pre war era through to the modern day models.

Last time we attracted 246 Aston's on a day that unfortunately clashed with the Silverstone Classic but no such clashes are envisaged this time so it would be great if we could push on from that 246 that attended last time and get nearer the 400 mark, there's plenty of room so the skies the limit really.

It's very important that you register your interest in attending with me please so that it affords me the time to plan for sufficient staff and stewarding to make for a safe and successful event,to register please email me at.

edwind.cunningham@btinternet.com

The day will be fantastic I'm sure and in being so it will help benefit the chosen charities of the day, they can be seen by visiting my Virgin Money Giving page that has been set up to receive donations and further proceeds from the event.

http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Burghleyastonmartin2016

The Event will have its Raffle and Auction during the afternoon where many superb and generous donations may be won or bid upon.

Currently I have in hand a couple of Annual Services to any Aston Martin Model along with a couple of outstanding Mini Breaks one of which is a 3 night stay on a B & B basis including Afternoon Tea in a Superior room at the wonderful Loch Ness Lodge that sits on the edge of the Loch.

http://www.Loch-Ness-Lodge.com

Another fine donation kindly put forward by Gary Ungless is his superb Glass topped V12 Coffee table, many may have seen it at the NEC classic car show recently where it was on display on the clubs stand.

Lots of other goodies to be had but I'll keep them all a bit secret currently,I will how ever drop in with further donations offers and event updates along the way so for know please consider registration for this exciting and enjoyable Event open and I very much look forward to receiving your bookings.

Any further questions please just shout up as I'll be pleased to assist whether its regarding accommodation for those that want to make a weekend of it in this beautiful and historic market town or just a few directions.

All the very best,

Ed.

Where did you manage to get accommodation Andrew out of interest.

Stamford is as I've warned previously filling up fast so those wishing to make a weekend of it need to make their reservation
asap.

I'll have a look at potential Hotels etc this evening and post up some suggests if that will help.

Its well worth booking in for the Saturday and Sunday trust me on that as there may well be a treat in store for the Saturday afternoon
yet...

Regrettably I have to advise that I don't own the village in which The Queens Head is located! As a young man I always hankered after a girlfriend whose father owned a pub - I never succeeded! I did become a full-time barman for 6 months prior to my career in banking though.

Morning Campers,

I'm on the look out if anyone can help for a friendly and charitable Picture Framer to frame up 3 beautiful limited edition prints
that have been donated to our Burghley Auction by the renown artist Tim Layzell.

I also have in my treasure chest a small batch of Le Mans posters which again would look wonderful if framed.

If anyone can help please give me a shout.

Ho ho ho an early Christmas present for you all.

I'm pleased to let you know that we have a Vulcan winging its way to the David Appleby Engineering stand for Burghley.

Make a note and pop along and see the boys from DAE and learn a bit more about this fantastic piece of kit.

I'm sure you'll find it as its bright red and growls... [emoji38]

As a pre Event visit as such on Saturday the 2nd of July 2016 I have organised a very special visit, this is a rare opportunity to see and take part in something not open to the public and something you can't do without application usually.

Unfortunately I can not openly advertise what this visit is on security grounds but for any genuinely interested parties that will be in the Stamford Area from circa 11 am on that Saturday please feel free to contact me and I will tell you more... ...a lot more as you might just want to join the 50 odd that have already accepted their invitations.

Compliments of the Season to everyone.

The Quest continues...

Can any kind charity minded owner or owners please help me with my quest as I'm trying to locate for our display the following cars.

One 77,
GT 12,
V12 Zagato,

Plus any other interesting, rare or famous models to enhance further the field display I'm attempting at putting together such as BMT 216A or the Orange Persuaders car etc, etc.

If you can help with any or all of these cars please be assured that they can/will be enclosed or roped off for security during the Event.

Any one know Prince Charles he's got that nice Blue Volante or even that nice gentleman with Jet 1, thats the kind of thing we need... ;D

Thanks.

Well in recent weeks I've slipped several very exclusive motorcars onto the list of those attending Burghley in July, the latest being a lovely new GT12.

With the addition of such cars I find myself being challenged in good spirit to go the whole 9 yards and add a few more to the field with the constant craving for the following.

One 77.
V12 Zagato.
GT4 Racers.

As you see not everyday runabouts so before launching any Life Boats in my quest I thought I'd ask on here if any kind hearted owners would consider popping along with said cars.

They would be part of a roped off display for security so no fear of being touched or drooled upon……….. ;D

Can anyone kick my New Year off in fine fashion and help me fill the missing boxes.

If you can please email, edwind.cunningham@btinternet.com

Many thanks and I'll keep my fingers crossed as failure is not an option...

During our day at Burghley it will now be possible to have a Clive Chedzey Exhaust bypass switch fitted to your car.

Clive has kindly donated 25 units with all the proceeds going to the charities of the day.

Clive will be fitting these units whilst roaming the field as he tells me he can fit one in 5 to 10 minutes.

If you would like to take up Clive's generous offer please either contact Clive himself by email at, clive.chedzey@ntlworld.com
to book your slot.

Alternatively you can also just let me know.

The cost per unit fitted is £80.00 net on the day and as I mentioned that fee all goes to charity.

Have a look at the unit on Clives website, http://www.cccharger.co.uk

Another very generous donation kindly given in support of this Event...

Like the wine list, my eye is always drawn to the bottom first!

Congratulations on attracting a truly stunning selection of vehicles.

I am sure there will be plenty more to come in early 2016 and I, for one, am trying hard to source a rare beauty for you.

Keep up the truly excellent work.

Best wishes.

I've been donated an as new set of 19" 7 spoke silver alloy wheels for a V8 Vantage, they would make perfect winter wheels for someone or just a very nice replacement set.

They are currently sitting in stock at Lancaster Cambridge so if anyone is on the look out for a set these could be for you.

The owner who has kindly offered to donate these has generously requested that all the proceeds from this potential sale go to my Burghley Charity page.

A very kind gesture indeed so if your on the look out please get in touch with me and I'll hook you up to the owner to conclude a deal.

Sorry I haven't got any pictures but if you visit the other channel and have a look at the "cat out of the Burghley bag" thread on the PH Aston Martin forum you will see them there in all there glory on page 2 of that thread.

Go on bag yourselves a New Year's bargain ... ;D
