On the 23rd of this month (Sept , James Martin the TV chef will be hosting a 'Supercar' day at his Leeds Kitchen in Leeds.  The details are in this link: http://leeds.aleacasinos.com/event-details/super-car-sunday-with-james-martin

You may recall that this series of events began back in April organised by the area 6 rep.  However, in June's edition of AM News the rep cancelled this series of events apparently due to cancellations.  From the link it seems that the local dealer, JCT600 has been attending and a Ferrari club member confirms these events were being held.

I do not know how you can enter your car for the display, should you wish to, as the email address for the "Events" on the Leeds Kitchen home page is not valid.  It does not show the club in a good light when both the local dealer and the Ferrari club are attending plus others.  >

Not quite sure how those are connected.
It seems a number of Area 6 members, having tried it, do not want to go again as a Club group.
There's nothing to stop members going individually.
Thanks for pointing out the error on the event website - maybe you can ask them what the correct address is for likeminded people to book in, please ?

Presumably that would be the select members who are informed in this area?  The last info in AM News said they were cancelled and that was the last I heard.  No mention of members not liking it?

It was only by chance at a show that the Ferrari club member said they were still going ahead.

If you or any other member wants to go, I can only suggest contacting Aston Martin at JCT600 on tel: 08448 443108 as they will likely be attending so can probably put you in touch with the organisers or possibly, James Martin himself.

ALL Members get AMN. That's why it's published.

The events were announced in January. They were announced as:

Sunday 8th April
Sunday 20th May – Date of AMOC Spring Concours
Sunday 17th June
Sunday 15th July
Sunday 26th August
Sunday 23rd September

The April event ran, then on the 17th April the May event was cancelled. Then on the 30th April the June event was cancelled. At that point, the Area 6 rep chose to not waste his time further promoting the events.. and I would have done the same.

We seem to be at cross purposes.  The events were first listed in an email to me from the rep back in April and they were listed on the forum in the area 6 section.  The next I read was the cancellation in the News.  They are still showing in the section on here.  Very confusing.  There has been nothing to say they were back on in AM News and no email.   No one has said some members did not want to go to these events.  Where does it say that?  How do you know this?  Considering there were just a handful at the April event, I guess around 4 in total, hardly democratic when 18 turned up for the annual area meeting (again in AM News).   So, are you now saying the quote below is incorrect?  Either the events were cancelled due to the "2 cancellations in a row" or you are correct and some members decided to abandon them without informing others who may have wanted to attend?

This is what it said in AM News: "First of all I must advise that we have abandoned the James Martin Supercar Days following 2 cancellations in a row. If we get some more positive commitments, regarding dates, I will let you all know."

This I understand but I do not now understand why John Purser is saying it was cancelled due to members not wanting it as a club group.
However, once it was clear the events were back on, surely it is not asking too much to notify members who can then choose of their own free will whether they want to attend or not?  Is that so unreasonable?

Simply a question of where to stop in terms of publicising events which this Club, nationally and locally do not organise, or do not plan to go to as a group. There are dozens of car related events.
If a previous event there was what tickled your fancy, then why not just ask the organisers when the next one is on ?
