Last Saturday the AMHT organised the unveiling of a Memorial Plaque to recognise the birthplace of Lionel Martin at Nansladron House near St Austell in Cornwall. The Plaque was unveiled by David Richards, ex Chairman of AML, who also has his own Cornish connections.

A timeline of 16 cars was put together to reflect some of the cars produced over the years from A3 through to the DB11, which was kindly loaned for the weekend by AML Bristol.

In the evening Truro & District Motor Club put on an event “the Story of Aston Martin” where David Wright told us about the Pre-War Cars, Maitland Cook covered the DB years, David Richards took us through the racing heritage and Marek Reichman told us a little bit about where the brand is going. Over 150 people attended the evening and it was a great success.

A great weekend and thanks to Rob Smith, Chairman of the Trust and Richard Pinkett, Area 20 for putting it all together.
