Just signed up to take the DB2 on the 2012 Mille Et Un Nuits

http://www.sableschauds.com/

Some of you will recall my adventures on the 2011 edition which was in Tunisia... for 2012 we're heading to Spain and then the cunning plan is Argentina for 2013.

Now the English version of the website is usually a bit patchy... but basically a very convivial regularity rally for pre-80's cars: the best hotels and best roads all organised by desert legend "Fenouil".

Comes HIGHLY recommended especially if you are not a pro regularity type as that's not really the spirit of the thing. It's about seeing a country over 5 days of driving and having some enjoyable evenings in lovely locations. We "competed" last year with a stop watch and the cars trip and had a blast.

A spattering of French would probably be handy, but not necessary to get along with the other competitors.

Would be nice to see another Aston on the rally, especially a Feltham!

Cheers

Just 2 weeks away from this... organisers would prob take a late entry from AMOC if anyone fancies some Spanish sunshine and great company... comes highly recommended!!
Expect a blog of the event on http://www.efgmotorracing.com from me for those left at home in the UK rain!
Cheers

Absolutely fabulous event... stuck 1000 miles+ on the DB2, didn't miss a beat all week!

Superb hotels, Michelin starred restaurants but most of all incredible deserted roads and fabulous scenery.

Other crews were great fun as well, really close to the perfect event to be honest!

The Mille Et Un Nuits goes to Argentina in 2012 then back to Catalunya in 2013 and I'm already saving up for both and hope we'll see a few more British crews at both...

Highly recommended!
