I am a new member of the club and was wondering about any club activities surrounding Monterey Car Week, August 18-26, culminating in the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Here is a link to all of the published events.

and a listing of some of last years events and gatherings

I am local to the events and so am interested in opportunities to  participate with my car.

The bigger clubs host national meetings for their marque and the Italians have their Concorso Italiano.

In the February AMNEWS, Our Club Chairman's Letter mentions the event, but I cannot find any information regarding AMOC activities.

Accommodations and locations for gatherings are booked far in advance. I haven't seen anything from our local chapters so far but I would hope that there is something planned at some level, local, regional, national, or global.

USA West region usually arranges some group events for Pebble Beach. Check the AMOC NA web site.

Unfortunately, there is no mention on any of the NA, USA West, Northern or Southern California websites regarding this year's event. I guess I will just have to wait and see if anything is being planned.

It would be nice to know what is typical of years past.

MrkJ - I'm new to the club as well and there doesn't seem to be much activity on the West Coast.  Not sure where you're located but there is the British field meet, up in Seattle in the summer It's not affiliated with AMOC but looks to have a few Astons entered.

AMOC of Northern California keeps its own calendar so that will help you keep up with events local to NorCal, including Monterey weekend.

Does anyone know if any vintage Astons will be "racing" at The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca?

Are any Astons or Lagondas competing at Pebble Beach Concours?

It is different each year - with some surprises thrown in.

The races usually have a 1929 14/50 Lagonda and Aston racing, and two or three Astons on the track with one or two more in the paddock.  Only car I'm sure of is one, that won't be there is one of the pre-war cars.

As for Pebble and the other shows, there is always an Aston.

The Lagonda is #29

There was a second DB4GT on the track during this race. It didn't didn't either keep up, or slow down for them to group up.
